Gates of Vienna News Feed 2/9/2011

Gates of Vienna News Feed 2/9/2011President Hosni Mubarak has rejected an offer to travel to Germany for medical treatment. The plan by the EU and the USA to shuffle him out of the way to Europe seems to have failed, and he will remain in Egypt.

In other news, a black state senator in South Carolina said during a committee hearing that cracking down on illegal immigration would be bad for the state, since the illegal immigrants work harder than his “brothers” and his “blue-eyed brothers”.

Her family has reacted with fury after the 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was handed a 12-month referral order and fined £200 by magistrates, in Runcorn, Cheshire, after admitting assault.
end quote.

Since the 14-year-old thought he was being a respectable man when he did this, he should be charged as an adult.
If he's man enough to bully a girl, then he's man enough to pay the consequences.

end quote.

The power/ hysteria of a crowd is not the love of God.
And it certainly has nothing to do with religious zeal.
I'm sure the herd is really nice . . . unless you decide to think for yourself.
In that case, I'm sure it becomes really oppressive really fast.
